This Privacy Policy explains how iRankr ("Platform", "we", "us", "our") processes personal data in connection with its AI-powered resume scoring and recruitment support services, including the iRankr Chrome Extension.

The Platform operates as a Data Processor and processes personal data on behalf of its Clients, who act as Data Fiduciaries under applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Scope of Processing

This Policy applies to all personal data processed through the Platform and the iRankr Chrome Extension in the context of recruitment workflows.

The Chrome Extension enables authorized Client users to import professional information from LinkedIn into the Platform for recruitment-related purposes.

3. Nature of Personal Data

The Platform processes personal data that is relevant to recruitment and candidate evaluation.

This includes identification information, professional details, and derived analytical outputs generated by the Platform.

For information imported through the Chrome Extension, this may include professional information displayed on LinkedIn, such as name, LinkedIn profile URL, professional headline, employment history, education, skills, experience, location, and other professional information relevant to recruitment.

Such data is processed strictly within the scope defined by the Client.

4. Source of Data

Personal data processed by the Platform may be provided directly by the Client or imported through the iRankr Chrome Extension from LinkedIn when an authorized Client user uses the Extension as part of a recruitment workflow.

The Platform does not independently collect, crawl, or source LinkedIn personal data outside the use of the Chrome Extension.

5. Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed exclusively for recruitment-related purposes, including resume evaluation, candidate scoring, job matching, and importing relevant professional information from LinkedIn through the Chrome Extension.

The Platform does not use personal data for secondary purposes such as marketing, advertising, or AI model training.

6. Data Storage and Cross-Border Processing

Personal data is processed using secure cloud-based infrastructure designed to support structured data storage, vector-based processing, and AI-driven analysis.

Personal data imported through the Chrome Extension may be transmitted to and processed by the Platform using the same infrastructure.

Such processing may occur on infrastructure located outside India, including in the United States.

By using the Platform or Chrome Extension, the Client acknowledges that personal data may be transferred to and processed in such jurisdictions.

Appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure that personal data remains protected during cross-border processing.

7. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the recruitment purposes defined by the Client.

The retention duration may be configured by the Client and may extend up to a defined maximum period.

Personal data imported through the Chrome Extension is subject to the same applicable retention requirements as other candidate data processed through the Platform.

Once the purpose is fulfilled or the retention period expires, personal data is deleted in accordance with the Platform's deletion procedures.

8. Data Deletion

The Platform ensures that personal data is deleted from active systems upon completion of the intended purpose, expiration of the retention period, or upon instruction from the Client.

This includes personal data imported through the Chrome Extension.

Deletion processes are designed to ensure that data is appropriately removed in accordance with the Platform's deletion procedures.

9. Data Security

The Platform implements robust security measures to protect personal data.

These measures include secure data transmission, encryption, access controls, and infrastructure monitoring.

The transmission of personal data between the Chrome Extension and the Platform is protected using appropriate security measures.

Access to personal data is strictly limited to systems required for processing.

10. Data Sharing

The Platform does not sell or share personal data.

Personal data may be processed through trusted service providers solely for the purpose of delivering the Platform's functionality.

Such service providers may process personal data imported through the Chrome Extension where necessary to provide the Platform's functionality.

Such service providers operate under strict contractual and security obligations.

11. Rights of Individuals

Individuals whose data is processed through the Platform have rights under applicable laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data and to raise grievances.

Since the Platform operates as a Data Processor, such requests must be directed to the Client, who controls the data and may use the Platform to fulfill these requests.

In the event of a data breach, the Platform will notify the Client without undue delay.

The Client is responsible for any required notifications to individuals or regulatory authorities.

13. Children's Data

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 and does not knowingly process such data.
